India to assist Palestine in setting up of Institute of Diplomacy for the Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs

India and Palestine concluded an MOU today at a function in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Ramallah for setting up of Institute of Diplomacy in Surda, Ramallah. H.E.Dr. Riad Malki, Foreign Minister of the State of Palestine and H.E. Mr. Anish Rajan, Representative of India to the State of Palestine signed the MoU on behalf of their Governments. Government of India has provided US$ 4.5 million for the project. This project was announced during the State Visit of H.E. Mr. Pranab Mukherjee, Hon'ble President of Republic of India to Palestine in October 2015. India is also assisting Palestine in the setting up of Palestine India Techno-Park in Ramallah which at US $ 12 million is the biggest project of India in Palestine till date. India is honoured to partner with Palestine in development of such prestigious projects. This project would provide yet another opportunity to the people and the Government of India to support the Palestinian cause and express our solidarity with the Palestinian people and assist in various capacity building programmes and projects in Palestine.
