How to Apply

1: Apply online for the right category of visa based on the purpose of your visit. The website for filling up the online form indianvisaonline.gov.in/visa .

Steps to fill up Visa Application

1. Open https://indianvisaonline.gov.in

2. Select 'For e-visa by Bureau of Immigration' for Visa online without coming to our office.

OR

3. Regular visa paper visa from ROI, Ramallah. Read the instructions, counties eligible, documents upload, size & format, useful visa links, fees/payment related instructions carefully (Please take care while filling the application (size & formats of uploads), if the passport details are not compatible it may get rejected.

4. After reading the instructions, scan and save all the documents in required format then proceed to fill the application.

5. Select 'Apply here for e-visa'.

6. Select Nationality according to Passport.

7. Given Name:First name & 2 middle names (initials or otherwise as in passport) Surname: Family name

9. Proceed for the next page & pay the fees online in case of visa online (Please speak to your bank to authorize international banking transaction for your card to pay the fees online). Save the application ID for further inquiry.

10. Keep a track on your email continuously if e-visa system needs more documents / data re upload. It's a time bound system, you need to provide the data / re-upload data within time frame, otherwise the application would be rejected and there would be no refund of visa fees.

11.Check your visa status using application ID.

11. If granted, take a print out and check.

* It may be noted that the Representative Office of India does not process e-visas and any inquiries in this regard will need to be made directly on the e-visa portal. Service of e-Visa involves a completely online application for which no facilitation is required by any intermediary / agent etc. Applicants are, therefore, advised to be cautious.

* In case of Regular visa, take a print out of Regular visa application form, attach 2 similar photos, sign on two pages and submit the same with all the documents required for visa by email to cons.ramallah@mea.gov.in

2: Please submit the completed application form at the Representative Office of India, Ramallah, with the following:

• Print out of the completed application form.
• Two photographs (4cm x 4cm), showing the face clearly, against a light background
• Passport with a minimum validity of six months from the date of application and at least two blank pages.
• Supporting documents
• Prescribed fees in cash (please refer to Documents and Forms).

3: The visa application is processed in 3-5 working days.

4: At the time of collection of passport, please carry the Invoice cum Receipt issued by the Representative Office of India, Ramallah. If a representative is designated to collect the passport, then the representative needs to produce an authorization letter signed by the applicant, Invoice cum Receipt and a photographic Identity card of the representative. Applicants should check their visa upon receipt and report any inaccuracies immediately.

Please note the following:

• The validity of the visa (e.g. 6 months, 1 year) begins from the date of issue and not from the date of travel.
• Change of visa category is not permitted after reaching India.
• All foreigners who intend to stay in India for more than 180 days continuously should register themselves with the Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO) in India. Please refer to the Frequently Asked Questions section for further details.
• Tourist Visa cannot be extended at all. Other categories of Visa holders seeking extension are advised to apply well in advance of the expiry of the visa at the FRRO.
• Visa fee is accepted only in cash and is not refundable.
