OFFER OF SCHOLARSHIP SCHEMES BY INDIAN COUNCIL FOR CULTURAL RELATIONS (ICCR), GOVERNMENT OF INDIA FOR THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2023-24
1. The Representative Office of India, Ramallah invites applications from Palestinian nationals for award of following ICCR Scholarship Schemes:
A.Atal Bihari Vajpayee General Scholarship Scheme (A1201) (formerly General Scholarship Scheme) for graduate, post-graduate and Ph.D courses for the Academic Year 2023-24.
B. Lata Mangeshkar Dance & Music Scholarship Scheme (A1209) (formerly ICCR Scholarship Scheme for Indian Culture) for pursuing study of Indian Culture such as dance, music, theatre, performing art, sculpture, Indian languages, Indian cuisine etc. for the Academic Year 2023-24.
2. All interested students desirous of availing aforementioned scholarship schemes may upload their applications on ICCR Portal with all relevant supporting documents. The ICCR Portal has all relevant information available for students including names and details of all State & Central Universities, Institutes and colleges affiliated with them, information like availability of hostels, guidelines, eligibility criteria, compulsory medical insurance etc.
3. Applicants need to register first (using their full names as in passport / certificates in capital letters in English, passport number, email etc.), check the guidelines etc. before they start to upload their online applications. The application will not be considered without English translation of documents if the originals are not in English.
4. Timeline for the admission process has been set which is given below for reference:
Last date of application to be submitted by students.
Applicants may upload their applications on the ICCR Portal with all relevant documents latest by 30 April 2023, take a print out of application and submit all documents to Palestinian Ministry of Higher Education & Scientific Research (Kindly check Ministry’s website for the list of documents required, last date of submission etc.).
31 May, 2023
Last date of Universities to inform the decision (if confirmed, intimation to Missions; if rejected, intimation to students).
30 June, 2023
Last date for allocating scholarship and generating Offer Letters by Indian Representative Office (ROI).
15 July, 2023
Last date of acceptance by students.
22 July, 2023
Based on the number of acceptances in the first round (if acceptance are less than the scholarship seats allocated) ROI to offer scholarship to other students who were not considered in the first round.
